Why EZCompressor

Why this isn't another tool site

Most "free" compressors send your files to their servers, cap you at a few MB, make you queue and charge for batch. We built the opposite.

Private by architecture

Compression, conversion and OCR run in your browser using WebAssembly, Canvas and your device's own encoders. ID scans, contracts and family videos never leave your device.

Open your browser's network tab and check for yourself.

Exact targets, not guesswork

Not just "compress", but "this PDF under 100 KB". The tool finds the best quality that fits.

Every format in one place

Compress, merge, split and convert, plus the text tools you reach for next.

Batch is free, always

Drop 200 photos or 30 PDFs and get one ZIP. No "upgrade to process more than 3".

Ads below results, never above

The tool is the first thing on every page. On Pro there are no ads at all.

Real output, not a mock-up

That slider is a real photo run through the Image Compressor: 542.8 KB → 196.9 KB, 64% smaller, with no visible difference. Drag the handle to compare.

Questions

Is EZCompressor really free?
Yes. Every tool that runs in your browser is free, including batch processing. Pro removes ads and adds server-side AI tools and saved presets.
How can it be private if it is a website?
The page and the processing code load from our servers; your files do not go back to them. Compression, conversion and OCR happen in your browser using WebAssembly, Canvas and your device's media encoders. You can verify this in your browser's network tab. (A few text tools are the exception: the grammar checker, domain age checker and YouTube tag suggestions send the text, domain or keyword you enter to a lookup service, and say so on the page.)
What can I compress?
Images (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF), PDFs, videos (MP4, MOV, WEBM), audio (WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG), Word, PowerPoint and Excel files, and any files into a ZIP archive.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. Because processing is local, the only limit is your device's memory. Very large files may be slow on phones.
How do I compress a file to an exact size like 100 KB?
Use one of the target-size tools: Compress Image to 100KB, Compress PDF to 100KB or Reduce Image Size in KB. They search for the highest quality that fits under your limit.
Do you keep any data?
We keep standard analytics (page views) and, if you create an account, a history of tool names and file sizes. Never the files themselves.
