Share a presentation as a PDF that opens anywhere, without PowerPoint. Each slide becomes one landscape page with its text, pictures, shapes and background colours. Conversion happens in your browser, so draft decks and client presentations stay on your device.
What is PPT to PDF?
Our ppt to pdf converter turns a PowerPoint presentation (PPTX) into a PDF with one slide on each page. Text, pictures, shapes, tables and background colours are drawn in place, and the page size matches your slides, whether they are widescreen 16:9, classic 4:3 or a custom shape.
A PDF opens on any phone, laptop or tablet without PowerPoint, and it cannot be accidentally edited or reflowed by a different version of Office. That makes it the safer way to send a pitch deck, lecture slides or a conference talk to people who only need to read it, print it or hand it in.
How to convert PPT to PDF
- Drop a PPTX file.
- Pick Normal or High quality.
- Download the PDF.
How PPT to PDF works
A PPTX file is a ZIP archive of XML documents. Each slide is described as a list of shapes with positions measured in tiny units called EMUs, and much of the styling lives elsewhere: in the slide layout, the slide master and the theme, which supply colours, fonts and placeholder positions. To draw a slide correctly, a converter has to follow that chain of inheritance for every text box.
This tool unpacks the presentation in your browser and draws each slide onto a canvas. It resolves theme colours and fonts, gradients, picture crops, rotated and flipped shapes, bullets and numbered lists, tables, and text that PowerPoint shrinks to fit its box. Hidden slides are skipped, just as they would be in a slideshow.
Each finished slide is saved into the PDF as a high-quality image: 1600 pixels wide on High and 1100 on Normal. Rendering slides as images keeps the layout identical on every screen, but it means the text in the PDF cannot be selected. Fonts come from your device, so a deck built with an unusual font may fall back to a similar one.
Key features of PPT to PDF
Free for every deck
Convert one presentation or a whole folder of them, with no slide limit and no watermark across your pages. Several PPTX files can be dropped together and downloaded as separate PDFs or as one ZIP.
Slide size kept exactly
Each PDF page takes the exact proportions of your slides, so a widescreen deck gives widescreen pages with no letterboxing. Text positions, picture crops and shape rotation are calculated from the file itself rather than estimated.
Converted in a few seconds
A typical 20-slide deck converts in seconds because nothing is transferred to a server first. The PowerPoint reader loads once on first use, and large decks full of high-resolution photos take a little longer on older phones.
Any browser, any device
Use it in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, iPad or Android. It is handy on a Chromebook or a shared computer where PowerPoint is not installed, and the page can be added to your home screen.
Accessible quality switch
The Normal and High quality choice is a labelled control you can change from the keyboard, progress is read out to screen readers, and the page works in dark mode and at large zoom levels. There is no timer pushing you along.
Unreleased decks stay private
Pitch decks, board papers and draft lectures are read and drawn in your browser, so your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server. That is useful for anything under embargo or covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
What makes EZCompressor's PPT to PDF different
Follows themes and masters
Colours and fonts are pulled from the slide master and theme, so placeholder titles and bullet text keep the look you designed instead of falling back to a plain default style.
Tells you what was left out
When a deck contains charts or SmartArt graphics that cannot be drawn yet, the result note says how many were skipped. You know which slides to check before you send the PDF.
Two quality levels
High renders slides at 1600 pixels wide for crisp printing and large screens, while Normal uses 1100 pixels for a smaller file that suits email and learning platforms with strict attachment caps.
No file transfer
Many converters send your presentation to their servers first. Here the deck is opened in your browser tab and the PDF is built there too, from start to finish.
Why use PPT to PDF?
Send a PDF when the audience only needs to view the slides. Clients, examiners and conference organisers often ask for PDF because it opens instantly and looks the same everywhere. Converting pptx to pdf also stops fonts being swapped and layouts shifting when someone opens the deck in a different program.
It is a quick way to prepare handouts and submissions. Turn powerpoint to pdf before printing notes for a workshop, handing coursework in through a learning platform, or sharing slides to pdf from your phone. If the PDF comes out too big for email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.
Who can use PPT to PDF?
Students
Submit presentation coursework as a PDF when the learning platform will not accept PPTX, or share revision slides with classmates who do not have Office.
Teachers and lecturers
Post lecture slides as PDFs that open on any student's phone, and print handouts without worrying about missing fonts or shifted layouts.
Sales teams
Send a proposal deck as a PDF so prospects see the exact layout, with no editable slides floating around after the meeting.
Conference speakers
Give organisers a PDF copy of your talk for the event website or archive, while keeping the original deck with its animations to present from.
Founders
Share a pitch deck with investors as a fixed PDF, converted on your own laptop so the numbers never pass through a third-party server.
